Look… strategy work can be tedious and boring. And let’s be real — most marketing plans end up rotting in the recycle bin or collecting digital dust in the marketing director’s inbox.
We approach things differently.
Strategy Camp is a three-day strategic planning workshop that gets everyone on the same page and provides a clear direction forward. In fact, after going through the camp, we can get down to a microscopic level of detail — where you know what picture you’ll post on Instagram on July 15th, and how that will contribute to your annual revenue.
At the end of the camp, you will have a playbook for the next 12 months of marketing activity, clear KPIs, and organizational alignment.
Who is this for
Strategy Camp is best suited to organizations with existing digital marketing experience, dedicated marketing teams, and allocated marketing budgets. If you are looking to transition from reactive to proactive marketing, optimize your processes, and discover new business opportunities — we would love to work with you.
What you can expect
Our approach is based on a comprehensive digital marketing strategy framework that has been tested and implemented in B2B and B2C industries, ranging from local to international brands. The principles are the same, but the application will be unique to your company. Here is the process breakdown:
Day 1: State of the Union
On the first day, we discuss current marketing and technology trends, dissect industry examples, start identifying opportunities and introducing strategy elements. At the end of the day, we complete a SWOT analysis and select top 5 insights to action.
Day 2: Digital Analysis
During the second day, we run live audits of your online properties (website, social media, and content platforms). Later, we create a customer profile matrix and discuss marketing objectives and KPIs. By the end of the day, we should have organizational alignment on marketing objectives and a clear set of KPIs to track.
Day 3: Strategy Planning
On the last day, we run through a channel selection exercise and design user engagement maps. Later, we discuss two content marketing frameworks (one aimed at sales, other at brand building). At the end of the day, we draft a 12-month content calendar that aligns with your organizational goals.
Follow up (7 days later)
At the end of the three days, you will have a rough strategy draft. We recommend gathering with your marketing team and fully fleshing out the plan the week after camp, while the thinking is still fresh. During the first follow up, we review and dissect the plan with your team. Once completed, we move into developing a 12-month marketing calendar.
Follow up (30 days later)
After our first follow up, you should plan to gather with your team and fill out the marketing calendar template that will be provided. Our Marketing Calendar moves strategy into execution. We want to get to a specific detail of what will happen, when, who will be responsible, and the resources required. This will help us take all the guesswork out of your marketing.
You may consider additional coaching or accountability calls. As you start executing the strategy, you may run into challenges or have specific questions about best practices or software for example. We are here to help you cross the finish line with private coaching that is available for our strategy clients.
